The programme of  CULTURAL EXCHANGE section focuses on the common experience of getting the freedom of four countries Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary exploring their historical similarity. The programme presents selected films which put stress on the main historical movements in V4 countries — 1939, 1956, 1968, 1989, 1990. The section is accompanied with the special guests from Slovakian Film Institute, Cinefest and Brno 16 and also from Czech Centre. 
Dusan Hanak, one of the most important Slovak filmmaker will be the special guest of the round table discussion after the screening of his film “Paper heads/Papierove Hlavy”.

Dusan Hanak was born 1938 in Bratislava. He made 20 short documentary films, which won significant domestic and international awards. He was chairman of the Slovak Film Directors Association and the founding president of the Slovak Film and Television Academy (1996-1998). He awarded Special Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema at the 43rd Karlovy Vary IFF in 2008.
